Dear Parents and Community,

  Welcome to the Brawley Elementary School District, where we eagerly embrace the vision of creating excellent teaching environments, ensuring quality instruction grounded on evidence-based best practices, and providing the leadership and support to have this vision come to fruition.  We are positioning ourselves to implement a transformational system of sound educational practices to lead each and every student into the 21st century model of teaching and learning.  It will be necessary to take advantage of the opportunity to design the next-generation learning models that may use technology in different ways.

    Our instructional program must successfully implement the Common Core State Standards that will be the new measure of students in the State of California and in our great nation.  This effort will affect our teaching staff, administrators, parents, students, and community and will take several years to accomplish.  However, working, together, we will achieve these goals.

    In closing, the community of Brawley has a long and rich history of traditions, cultural uniqueness, and success in the classroom and the field of athletics.  This work ethic, team spirit, and positive attitude will add support to the accomplishment of our academic goals.  We look forward to serving our students, parents, and the community at large in the new and exciting school year of 2012-13.
